ABOUT THE STUDIO

Studio Stanley makes electric objects in blown-glass, noble gas and other beautiful materials. Each piece sits somewhere between sculpture and lighting: sensual lines, honest hardware, nothing extra.

The Studio belongs to George Stanley McGraw, who spent years in the bright fluorescent lighting of public service—most recently as Water & Power Commissioner for LA.

He’s often mistaken for a Serious Person, but George is just curious and playful and obsessed with the way simple things like running water and light can completely transform a space.

Studio Stanley’s work has been installed in homes and businesses photographed for Architectural Digest, The New York Times, and Vogue Living.
