S001 COME ALIVE

  • Come Alive is a neon text-sculpture made in 2020. An homage to Chryssa and Corita Kent, it draws on their radical use of typography and public language to turn a familiar imperative into a spatial experience.

Nine letters—each hand formed from a single continuous piece of glass—are stacked at a deliberate angle, shifting the idea of a neon “sign” into dimensional form. 8mm emerald green neon, pumped with argon–mercury, emits a saturated, uncanny glow that feels alive.

Encased in ¼-inch smoky Italian acrylic and viewable from five sides, the piece invites constant re-reading through reflection and shadow. A glossy interior creates a subtle mirror effect, multiplying the line work so the letters echo and thicken.
